Reduce red tape to attract more business in Toronto and Willowdale

For Toronto

Toronto's economies are not based on manufacture. We use to have clothing factories on Spadina but now they all moved outside of Toronto and even outside of the country. Working with Federal and Provincial government to give Tax benefit to those who want to build factories. We have good Research and Developed technology to use it to create high value added product based factory to stimulate Toronto's economy. City council should encourage foreign investors to invest in Toronto's businesses.

Willowdale

Over the 2 decades, Willowdale has developed an unequal balance with high rise residential buildings and commercial businesses in the area, especially on Yonge St. The past 22 years of living on Yonge street, I do not feel that much has changed. Helping small business equates to helping the reduction of youth unemployment. I believe we have potential since we are the largest populated area in Toronto and we have 2.2km of side walk and shop friendly area to explore.

  • I will host multiple events around the year in addition to the already existing events held at the famous Mel Lastman Square to spice up the vibrancy on Yonge Street.

  • If there are red tapes to open business on Yonge St. I will help reduce them to support entrepreneurship.
